Set menu Taste wine and grapes … in the cellar FEB 2009: Due to the late harvest this year, Delheim’s annual grape and wine tasting is being held two weeks later ... on Saturday 21 February. Join the Sperling family for a fun, interesting and unconventional event, when you learn to appreciate how the winemaking process gets the best out of the grapes and why certain grapes make certain types of wine. On arrival, visitors are served Delheim Brut Sparkling Wine to cleanse and inspire the palate before being taken to the Delheim tasting room. Delheim viticulturist, Victor Sperling, will talk about how the magic of the grapes is captured in the wine. To round off this taste extravaganza, you can book a delicious picnic to enjoy by the river under the trees or you can visit the Delheim Garden Restaurant and take in the views of Table Mountain in the distance. The group will then break up into smaller teams. Meet back at central location around 12:00 to check what was spotted. A prize will be given to the team having spotted the most species and also the team who spotted the most interesting bird.
