Letter to the editor of Taenk
1. We the Delheim employees who work and live on Delheim would like to invite the Danish newspaper to talk to us.
2. There has never been any evictions of any pensioners on Delheim.
3. Patricia has never worked on Delheim and cannot say that the work conditions are very bad.
4. Every year our houses are fixed.
5. We have a crèche and after care school for our children on the farm which our children can use.
6. We and our kids are transported free of charge to school, church, hospital, clinics, doctors etc.
7. People who work at Delheim but live in Stellenbosch get free transport to the farm.
8. Patricia says the house is small but the house is only for her mother – she lived all the time in town.
9. The “dopsystem” was not used after the early eighties and was not part of our payment.
10. We have eight pensioners who live on Delheim.
11. We who write this letter live and work on Delheim.
